The bill entitled “Stop Enabling Sex Traffickers Act of 2017” (SESTA) was introducted today in Senate to make amendments to the Communications Act of 1934, section 230, known as the Communications Decency Act of 1996. The aim is to clarify language that prohibits “the enforcement against providers and users of interactive computer services of Federal and State criminal and civil law relating to sexual exploitation of children or sex trafficking.”
